These formative 90-minute assessments will give us an overview of your child's word study skills, reading fluency, reading behaviors, reading and listening comprehension, and writing skills. It will help us plan appropriate lessons to improve your child's reading and writing skills. This is the diagnostic assessment component of the Guided Reading and Writing subscriptions. Comprehensive Literacy Assessment (multi-session assessment) From 500: Includes assessments for reading behaviors, spelling developmental level, reading comprehension, oral reading fluency, vocabulary, and writing, followed by a detailed report and a 30-minute follow-up consultation to discuss the results.
These formative assessments are conducted at the beginning, middle, and end of the year to monitor your child’s progress in reading and writing. We assess word study skills, reading fluency, reading behaviors, comprehension, and writing to inform instruction and adjust support as needed. This diagnostic tool is included in all Guided Reading and Writing subscriptions. Assessment components are outlined below.
