These formative assessments are conducted at the beginning, middle, and end of the year to monitor your child’s progress in reading and writing. We assess word study skills, reading fluency, reading behaviors, comprehension, and writing to inform instruction and adjust support as needed. This diagnostic tool is included in all Guided Reading and Writing subscriptions. Assessment components are outlined below.
